micro quilts

a new and growing series of tiny quilts – micro quilts.

the first of these micro quilts were created last winter when I had an urgent need for soft textures for my hands but little capacity for larger textile projects. at the same time, there was a very experimental and inspiring group in one of my workshops, with whom I tried out a lot of things related to textures. and one evening, the idea of these tiny quilts came up – pleasantly calming for the mind, a great opportunity to use up even the tiniest fabric scraps, an invitation to joyful and free experimentation, and they don't take long to make either. so the collection is growing steadily.

all micro quilts are made from cotton and linen fabric remnants; filled with either cotton batting or viscose batting. everything is hand stitched and quilted with different cotton threads.

the dimensions are between 5 and 11 cm in length.
